Senator Al Cutrona is a proud son of the Buckeye State and a prolific lifelong advocate for his home district, which he currently represents in the state legislature. Al was born and raised in Mahoning County, Ohio and graduated from Canfield High School in 2008.

 

He attended Youngstown State University and graduated with a B.A. degree in political science and history. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Case Western University School of Law.

Al began his tenure in the Ohio House of Representatives in 2020. During his first term, Al passed more bills than any other Ohio Representative in 2021. He was appointed to the Ohio Senate in June 2024. He currently serves on the Small Business and Economic Opportunity, Transportation, Workforce and Higher Education Committees. Senator Cutrona was named Vice Chairman of the Community Revitalization Committee in July of 2024. Al resides in Canfield, Ohio.
